Astronaut Sunita Williams is currently stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) due to technical issues with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft she was supposed to return to Earth in. The Starliner has faced a series of glitches, including five helium leaks and issues with 5 of its 28 thrusters, which have delayed her return multiple times.
NASA has extended Williams and her crewmate Butch Wilmore's stay on the ISS as they work to address the Starliner's technical problems and ensure a safe return to Earth. While the Starliner is performing well while docked to the space station, NASA wants to take the time to thoroughly analyze the data and clear a path for their departure.
